Jim's next book, GREEN means GRN, to be published in 2010, presents hundreds of case studies of how environmental leadership drives bottom line profitability. His 2008 white paper for IBM on Green IT details how IT organisations can significantly reduce energy use through virtualisation.
Jim was one of the first seven Canadians personally trained by Noble Peace Prize winner Al Gore in Nashville to give his "An Inconvenient Truth" presentation.
His major book, Blindsided! is published in 80 countries worldwide. It examines why companies and whole industries are being blindsided; How can decision makers identify early warning signs How can leaders put in place systems and structures that will prevent their organisations from being blindsided And then knowing all this, how can you blindside your competition
His next book, The Learning Paradox, was nominated for the National Business Book Award, and has appeared on numerous bestseller lists. The Learning Paradox argues that "job security" as we knew it is gone. Individual and organisational security is now based on learning, changing and coping with uncertainty.
From 1992-1996 he represented the Covey Leadership Center in Canada teaching Dr. Stephen Covey's work, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People to clients.
