As the skipper of the yacht Quadstone in the 2000 BT Global Challenge, known as The World's Toughest Yacht Race, she developed a group of amateurs into a high-performing team and led them to victory against the odds through some of the harshest conditions on the planet.
Her extensive ability and experience gained by working with amateur teams throughout her seventeen years at sea, has been readily transferred into the business world. It was a natural progression to move from high-profile yacht racing into the field of one-to-one coaching and training she is passionate about helping people achieve their dreams.

Alex is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, a SDI (Strength Deployment Inventory) Facilitator, and an Ambassador for Investors in People. In addition, she has trained extensively in the fields of team development, behavioural change, and high performance coaching. In her spare time, Alex is now a gliding instructor, and also flies her own glider cross-country.
